Supply Chain Management is considered a key strategic priority in companies large and small because without a successful global supply chain program, a company will not be able to design, deliver, scale, and improve key products effectively that are increasingly outsourced to supply chain partners around the world. The objective of this course is to introduce to the key concepts and techniques that will allow learner to analyze, manage and improve supply chain processes for different industries and markets. The Association of Business Executives (ABE, UK), founded in 1973, was a not-for-profit skills development specialist and awarding organisation providing internationally recognised learning, credentials and quality assurance in the fields of business, entrepreneurship and employability. ABE is affiliated to the UK Skills Partnership and Commonwealth Enterprise & Investment Council working together to offer integrated solutions in vocational skills development to international partners around the world. The main learning outcomes are to improve learner’s ability to: 1. Conceptualize supply chain designs, which are aligned with business models for manufacturing and service companies; 2. Configure logistics networks and assess their performance impacts on efficiency and service levels; 3. Determine the decision support system requirements for supply chain management; 4. Evaluate the risks and advantages of international supply chains.
In order to successfully complete this course, students must complete the mandatory project paper and achieve passing grade of 50% or higher.
